We created Roste Chocolate House with a simple mission: to return chocolate to what it was meant to be. 

For thousands of years chocolate was the religious, social, and economic fuel of empires. And then in the 20^thcentury it was relentlessly converted into inexpensive, low-quality candy. Terroir was replaced with generic uniformity. Purity was buried underneath an industrial avalanche of artificial ingredients. And perhaps worst of all, the health benefits of one of the world’s true superfoods was obliterated at the altar of sugar.

At Roste we are the opposite of all of this. We source the finest, ethically produced cacao beans. We roast them on site to insure the freshest chocolate. We stone grind those roasted nibs for days to achieve the smoothest texture. And we add NOTHING extra except a little sugar and (maybe) some organic cocoa butter.
